Manchester Metropolitan University is set to launch a new slimmed-down part-time Legal Practice Course (LPC), in a move which will shorten the duration of the course by six months. The course is subject to approval by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA), but Manchester Met is planning to run the first stage of the course from September to June and the second stage from December to September.David Amos, LPC director at Manchester Met, commented: "Generally, the people that do the LPC here are older and most them have worked or are working in the law already, meaning there are elements of the course that they are more than capable of coping with."
