Pfizer hires Winston partner as litigation head
Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has appointed Winston & Strawn partner Bradley Lerman as its new head of litigation. Lerman, who advised on white-collar defence, product liability and securities litigation matters at Winston & Strawn, was announced as the company's new senior vice president of litigation at the beginning of this week (22 December).Prior to joining Winston & Strawn, Lerman was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis and spent eight years as an assistant US attorney in the Northern District of Illinois.His hire is the second major appointment to Pfizer's in-house legal team this year. In May, Amy Schulman, then DLA Piper's US-based class action co-head, replaced Allan Waxmen as Pfizer's general counsel.
