Linklaters' highest-paid partner earned £3.4m in the last financial year, it has emerged, in a deal worth £1.6m more than the top of the City giant's lockstep. The magic circle law firm's first limited liability partnership (LLP) accounts, filed this week, confirm that Linklaters has made arrangements to pay at least one equity partner well above the top of its lockstep.The accounts state the remuneration available to partners "can be substantially above that of a member on full profit entitlement because of additional entitlements". The accounts describe "additional entitlements" as due to local arrangements, secondments, or payments associated with joining or retiring.
