Two partners at Beresfords Solicitors have been found guilty of misconduct by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal in relation to their handling of compensation claims from sick coal miners. The tribunal - which kicked off last month - today (11 December) found James Beresford and Douglas Smith guilty of nine of the 11 allegations made against the pair by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).The tribunal has ordered that the pair be struck off and pay all costs.
