The UK's top 100 law firms have recorded their second consecutive quarter of slowing growth, according to research by professional services firm Deloitte.The accounting giant's quarterly legal survey shows that fee income across the country's 100 largest firms increased by just 5.8% during the second quarter of the 2008-09 year compared with the same period the previous year.The results mark a second quarter of slowing growth after an average increase of 6.3% in Q1.Firms in the top 10 have held up better than their smaller rivals, reporting an average rise in fee income of 11.1% for Q2 - the same growth rate as during Q1 of the current financial year.
