London law firm Mishcon de Reya has launched a redundancy consultation, with fee earners thought to be among those facing the axe. The firm, which currently has 55 partners and more than 135 legal staff, refused to comment on the number of positions under review or the type of staff involved in the consultation. However some in the market have suggested that both partners and fee earners are at risk. A spokesperson for the firm said: "Mishcon de Reya's management board is currently undertaking a review of the business and discussions are being held with regard to the changing market conditions. As part of this review some positions have regrettably been identified as being at risk of redundancy."
