If The Diary was wont to resort to lazy stereotypes, there are a few of traits your average lawyer has. In general, they are a cautious bunch, they are pedantically accurate and getting a straight answer is nigh-on impossible.
However, there is one aspect that is often overlooked: they are damn cheesy. Barely a day goes past without some partner trilling out their favourite catchphrase – ‘strength and depth’ and ‘across the board’ being some all-time classics – or quoting historical figures and management bibles.
