Lovells is gearing up for a series of leadership elections as David Harris battles to secure a second term as managing partner and four of the firm's international executive team come up for election. Continental Europe managing partner Harald Seisler last week emerged as Harris's main rival for the managing partner position. The formal nomination process is still underway and does not close until 25 September - leaving the path clear for additional candidates to emerge. Senior partner John Young is overseeing the election process, which is set to culminate in a secret ballot at the firm's annual partnership conference on 14 November. The winner of the election will start a four-year term from 1 May, 2009.
