Field Fisher Waterhouse is facing an employment tribunal after an equity partner launched a claim against the firm. The firm's head of trademark and brand protection, John Olsen, issued a claim of harassment and age discrimination with the London Central employment tribunal on 28 July. No date for the hearing has yet been set but in internal documents seen by Legal Week Olsen alleges that he has been subjected to a "campaign of harassment and intimidation" over the last few years. Olsen, who joined Field Fisher in 1999 from SJ Berwin and has turned 60, outlines a number of grievances and criticises the behaviour of individual partners within the firm. He alleges that the firm has sought to marginalise him because of his age - asking about his retirement plans on a regular basis.
