LG has successfully fought off a £6.3m negligence claim.The claim, which was a spin-off case relating to former partner Michael Fielding, who stole £6m from client accounts, was dismissed by Judge Hodge QC as 'cheeky' in the High Court late last month (28 August).The claim was brought by Sara Dayman, a bankruptcy trustee of Michael Fielding's wife Sandra. Dayman was pursuing LG to recover outstanding debts, alleging that the firm allowed Sandra Fielding to become liable for her husband's debts on a joint account.
