Last month the European Court of Justice (ECJ) gave its decision in Coleman v Attridge Law, in which it held that disability discrimination included ‘associative discrimination’.

In 2005 Ms Coleman made a claim under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (as well as constructive unfair dismissal). The disabled person was her son, for whom she was a carer; she alleges she was treated less favourably and harassed because of his disability.
