Newcastle’s legal scene is one of the smaller markets in England, but it still boasts some of the biggest names in the business. Northeast giant Dickinson Dees is a big attraction to lawyers looking to relocate outside the City, as is Eversheds, Ward Hadaway, Watson Burton and growing firm Muckle.
As with many regional legal centres, Newcastle’s fraternity of commercial lawyers has had to cast the net outside the northeast in order to keep the fees flowing in. Dickinson Dees has carved out a good reputation in private/public partner (PPP) projects nationwide, for example.
