Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has hired Jones Day's former Los Angeles head of intellectual property (IP), Robert Dickerson. Dickerson, who was also previously managing partner of Lyon & Lyon, joins Orrick as a partner. His practice focuses on patent trial work. The US firm has made a number of additions to its IP practice recently, with the hire of Joseph Calvaruso, previously at Chadbourne & Parke, and Mark Wine, formerly of McDermott Will & Emery.
