Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Preston Gates Ellis and Carolina firm Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, are to combine with effect from 1 July. The tie-up creates a firm of more than 1,700 lawyers in 28 offices located in the US, Europe and Asia.
