Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is transferring City corporate partner Ian Poynton to the Middle East as the firm continues to add bulk to the region. Poynton, who has been a partner since 1998, will co-head the Middle East and North Africa corporate practice alongside Bruce Embley. His practice focuses on financial institutions and the insurance sector.
