Law firms these days are usually as backwards at coming forwards as they were even, say, four or five years ago. New York firm Proskauer Rose last week took the path less travelled and decided that modesty was the best policy for its latest financials.

A few days after spilling the beans to an LW spy on its latest financial results, the firm got back in touch to rather bashfully admit that it had done itself a bit of a disservice – and would we mind awfully adding another £35,000 to its PEP figure.
