The partner was at home (for once) when his heavily-pregnant wife unexpectedly went into labour. With no chance of getting mother and baby to the hospital in time, the partner was forced to scrub up and muck in - eventually delivering the newborn nipper himself.Contrast that with the US partner whose wife recently told him the most excited she had ever seen him was the day he come home after the recruitment process at his current firm - it must have been a quiet honeymoon.
