I am considering doing a law conversion course in order to pursue a career change. My background is a Computing MEng 2.1 and a Cognitive Psychology MSc, both from top University of London colleges. I have worked five years ‘in the City’ working for two different large investment banks in their business-aligned IT departments and am currently a programme manager.

I am currently 30 years young and am considering changing career to law, probably given my current work knowledge and interests either in the bankingfinancial services area or IT law. I am keen to hear people’s opinions on common pitfalls, the likelihood of getting a training contract and prejudice (or preference!) on career changers like mine.
