Winner: Linklaters
Linklaters’ London capital markets team has grown by around 20% over the last 12 months, helping it to make room for four new homegrown partners: Mark Middleton, Alexander Naidenov, Pam Shores and Deepak Sitlani. It was the sheer breadth of Linklaters’ practice that swayed the judging panel, as reflected in its strong showing across both the debt and equity-linked tables. At the end of 2006, the firm was ranked in the top five of 28 of 36 Thomson Financial tables, coming top in nine categories and second in a further eight.
