Dechert’s City arm has been instructed in place of Stephenson Harwood in a long-running dispute between two Russian businessmen for a 20% stake of aluminium giant RUSAL.
Dechert London litigation partner Andrew Hearn and associate Matthew Magee have been instructed to advise Michael Cherney on his battle against RUSAL owner Oleg Deripaska for a 20% stake in the company, which is estimated to be worth around £1bn. It is understood that Brick Court Chambers has been instructed as new counsel.
