New York leader Sullivan & Cromwell has unveiled a plan to pay senior associates and counsels an extra bonus tied to the firm's financial performance with senior associates in line to pocket up to $30,000 (£14,910), writes Legal Week sister title New York Law Journal (September 21). The Manhattan firm will set aside a pool, anticipated to be around $2.5m (£1.24m), for the new bonuses, which will be paid out in addition to base salaries and normal bonuses.
