Addleshaw Goddard is on the hunt for referral partners in China as the UK law firm broadens its international strategy to cover some of the world’s largest emerging markets.

The project is being led by private equity head Andrew Carpenter, who joined the firm from O’Melveny & Myers in 2006, and also involves corporate partner Matthew Doughty, who was head of O’Melveny’s equity capital markets practice until earlier this year. Competition partner Mark Clough, international partner Stephen Houston and senior partner Paul Lee also have key roles.
