I am a three-year PQE transaction-based City lawyer considering a move to the Cayman Islands or the British Virgin Islands. I am, however, concerned that it is a one-way move and that I may not be able to return after a few years. Does anyone have experience of moving back into UK private practice or in-house after practising as an offshore lawyer for a while?
