Simmons & Simmons is to launch in Moscow next month after recruiting a senior Russian in-house lawyer, Legal Week has learned, as the City firm bids to beef up its international financial markets practice.
The top 20 UK firm has hired Konstantin Orlov, general counsel of Russian investment firm Renaissance Capital, as a partner. As part of the move, Simmons will also transfer London capital markets partner Tony Smith, who will head the office.
