I’m a male senior associate in the corporate department of a large City firm and I’m facing a real dilemma over whether or not to get into a relationship with a more junior associate in my department. On one hand, she is not a trainee and we are two responsible adults able to make our own minds up. But on the other hand, if people find out I have no idea what effect it will have on our careers as the firm has a reputation for frowning on lawyers in the same team going out with each other.
I am not sure if I will be able to take the sensible route as she obviously likes me as much as I like her and we spend every waking hour together. Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom they can offer?
