Still in Frankfurt, meanwhile, McDermott Will & Emery partner Paul-Michael Rebus was this week flexing his ‘guns’ in satisfaction after completing the European 
Ironman Championship, held in the German financial capital on 1 July.
The event saw 2,200 obviously mental participants get stuck in to a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride and then a full marathon on foot, with Rebus rattling a collecting tin for the UK Missing Persons charity along the way.
Whether said charity was contacted midway through the race to locate Rebus, who took 12 hours and 50 minutes to complete the gruelling course, is not yet known.
