Brabners Chaffe Street has launched a specialist agricultural law practice as the northwest firm bids to cash in on economic pressure and increased red tape in the UK’s farming sector.

Liverpool-based property partner Rupert Jackson will oversee the nine-lawyer unit, which draws on the firm’s property, litigation and commercial groups. The new group will be spread across Brabners’ offices in Liverpool and Preston, where property associate Helen Ryan will lead the team. It will advise clients such as the Land Registry on environmental law, development, tourism, estate planning and employment.
