The Legal Services Commission (LSC) has appointed two commissioners. Jane Hickman, managing and founder partner of criminal boutique Hickman & Rose, has been appointed for a three-year term from 1 June. She will oversee criminal legal aid practice as well as advising the LSC on the ongoing legal aid reform programme. Barry Elliott has been handed a four-year role and will advise the LSC on financial management and strategy.
