One of the major economic changes which took place in Poland in the past 20 years is the process of transformation to a market economy regarding the rights to real estate. This rapid economic change was accompanied by a growing interest in land and an urgent need to establish the reliable legal status of real estate. As a consequence, the importance of land and mortgage registers increased.
