Thanks to the economic success and growth of regional centres such as Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham, the line between the City and the regions is not as clear as it once was. Add to this the trends of globalisation, the growing sophistication of IT and communications networks and faster and more effective travel links, and it becomes clear why top law firms are keen to maintain a significant presence in regions such as Yorkshire.
