The Government’s brand-new Ministry of Justice (MoJ) will do nothing to aid the fight against crime and terrorism and could make the situation worse, according to a survey of senior UK lawyers.

The latest Legal Week/EJ Legal Big Question survey shows more than two-thirds of business lawyers believe the new-look Whitehall department will have a negligible impact on crime, while a quarter think it will make matters worse. Just 8% of lawyers expect the launch of the MoJ to improve the situation.
