The Government has sounded a last-minute rallying call to lawyers in the UK in a bid to encourage the legal profession to engage with its consultation on the Companies Act.
Whitehall is concerned that lawyers have yet to respond to the sweeping reforms, several of which are set to come into effect this autumn. The Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) is actively attempting to generate more involvement in the consultation.
