Clifford Chance (CC) has bagged a lead role on the €2.62bn (£1.78bn) acquisition of a 75% stake in Dutch television company Endemol from Spanish telecoms group Telefonica. The deal, which closed yesterday (14 May), sees a consortium comprising Italian media company Mediaset and Spanish subsidiary Gestevision Telecinco, Endemol founder John De Mol and a Goldman Sachs fund acquire Endemol Investment Holding, which owns a 75% stake in Endemol.
