Linklaters’ Brazilian ally, Lefosse, is to split, with a significant number of lawyers leaving to create an independent firm after a strategy dispute.
Local competition partner Jose Orlando Lobo and corporate partner Valdo de Rizzo are leading a breakaway group, which is thought to comprise around 27 lawyers. The team will practise under the banner Lobo & de Rizzo from the end of the month.
