Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw has advised global energy advisory firm Tristone Capital on the acquisition of a lease for its new European headquarters at 77 Grosvenor Street, London, for an undisclosed sum. Real estate partner James Dodsworth led the team advising Tristone, which took the lease from Norwich Union Life & Pensions, which was represented in-house.
Taylor Wessing has acted for European Hotels Corporation (ECH) on a joint venture with Kingdom Hotel Investments to develop a five-star hotel complex for an estimated project cost of $65m (£33m). Twenty percent will be owned by ECH and 80% by Kingdom Hotel Investments. Taylor Wessing London corporate partner Richard Bursby represented ECH. Baker & McKenzie Ho Chi Minh City managing partner Frederick Burke represented Kingdom Hotel on the acquisition.
