Watson Farley & Williams and City boutique Vizards Tweedie have emerged as the latest law firms to be hit by email scams, as commercial firms in the UK become growing targets for fraudsters.

An email supposedly from Vizards Tweedie senior partner Ron Perry was sent out to hundreds of recipients last Thursday (15 February), claiming that the firm was acting on behalf of deceased client ‘Paddy Campbell’, who had made the email’s recipient the beneficiary of £550,000 in his will.
