Government claims savings of £120m after using ADR in 336 disputes, up from 167 last year

The Government has doubled the number of cases in which alternative dispute resolution (ADR) was used to settle its legal disputes, according to figures published by the Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA).
In a report released yesterday (17 January), the DCA said ADR had been used in 336 governmental disputes, with 72% of cases settling through mediation – the highest annual proportion to date.
