Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) has seen a huge surge in popularity in the past 12 months. Indeed, according to recent research from Datamonitor, VoIP adoption will increase by 9.7% between the last quarter of 2006 and the start of 2008. It is, therefore, important that companies understand how to prepare and monitor their networks for VoIP if they are to make the most of the opportunity it presents.
