I am in the penultimate year of my LLB at a top-tier law school in India. This year we had four students being offered training contracts at Clifford Chance, while I also know that Linklaters has been recruiting from a rival school for a while now. India is yet to relax the traditional restriction on foreign law firms doing business here, but UK law firms seem to be interested in anticipation of the norms being relaxed in compliance with WTO requirements.
I am wondering which other UK law firms would likely be interested in hiring Indians so I can start applying for training contracts. I am worried that the moderate-sized, individual-friendly type of law firm that interests me is unlikely to have an incentive for employing Indians.
