US industrial giant United Technologies Corporation (UTC) has named Charles Gill as its next general counsel, following the announcement that current legal chief Bill Trachsel is to retire in April.
Trachsel joined the US-based conglomerate as an engineer in 1965 and was appointed general counsel in 1998. He will be succeeded by Gill, who is currently general counsel of UTC subsidiary Carrier Corporation.
