Allen & Overy (A&O) has launched a Japanese law practice with the hire of two Japanese-qualified corporate partners, as the magic circle giant looks to cash in on the increase in local deal activity.
Corporate duo Nobuo Nakata, who joins from magic circle rival Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, and Asahi Koma Law Offices partner Osamu Ito both join the firm’s Tokyo office as partners.
