General Electric general counsel Brackett Denniston has continued to prove he is a credible successor to the highly-respected Ben Heineman with the company continuing its innovative approach to managing external advisers and dispute resolution. GE has also thought hard about its European operations, appointing US-based senior in-house lawyer Mark Elborne to the newly-created role of general counsel for Europe.
