Dublin has enjoyed an exceptional year in funds, with Irish legal advisers benefiting from the tremendous liquidity among global investors. With the Dublin legal market still dominated by respected independents, the past 12 months have seen Ireland’s largest commercial firms enjoying good times.

As moves continue to allow retail investment into alternative investment funds, the Irish Government has seized the opportunity to create new structures to attract offshore equity-based funds from their traditional homes, targeting the Channel Islands in particular.
