Bevan Brittan was last week pulling the stops out in the latest example of lawyers doing what they do best – jaw-droppingly inane stunts for otherwise worthy charitable causes. The Bristol behemoth had associates on their hands and knees after the firm’s recent associate conference in a bid to break the world record for bursting 1,000 balloons in the shortest possible time.

Sadly, they fell just short of the current mark of 27.12 seconds set in August 2005 (by a group of Ashfords trainees… okay, not really) but they did manage to earn a couple of grand for children’s charity NCH.
