Davies Arnold Cooper (DAC) has boosted its commercial litigation team with the hire of Debevoise & Plimpton lawyer Steven Friel. Friel joined the firm as a partner last week after four years at the US firm’s City arm, where he was a senior associate. His hire continues a series of partner-level appointments by the mid-tier City firm, which last month lured litigation specialist Philip Davis from Mishcon de Reya. The firm also last month boosted its construction capability after sealing a merger with Manchester boutique Moore & Co.
