Queen's Speech evokes diverse response from legal profession

The legal profession has responded strongly to proposals set out in the Queen’s Speech today (15 November), which outlined the Legal Services Bill’s programme of reforms and plans to abolish juries on complicated fraud trials.

Commercial firms and professional bodies were quick to react to the speech, with a variety of responses highlighting the long-running debate on the changes.
