DLA Piper has been named as the exclusive trademarks adviser to global banking giant HSBC, after winning a beauty parade earlier this year.

The appointment, which carries no fixed term, sees the transatlantic firm handling the bank’s entire international trademark portfolio and its IP rights package on a multijurisdictional basis. Simon Levine, joint global head of the firm’s technology, media and communications practice, will be overseeing DLA Piper’s relationship with the bank, alongside London-based intellectual property partner Sian Croxon.
