The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) has announced that it is launching a simplified mediation service after realising it is increasingly being bypassed on approaches to mediators.
The mediation agency traditionally manages the whole of the mediation process including choosing a mediator, finding a venue and setting out a timetable for the mediation. However, in two initiatives launched last week, CEDR will provide a ‘direct’ service which, for the first time, will enable clients to instruct CEDR’s top mediators, including chief executive Karl Mackie.
