Why did you become a lawyer?
My comprehensive school in south Wales was keen to encourage me to apply to Oxford University. Unfortunately, my modern languages were not good enough to study modern European history and law didn’t require any language skills. Once I was at Oxford, the big City firms were very aggressive recruiters and being fundamentally inert, I went for the path of least resistance. Fortunately I fell into a career that suits me.
