Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw’s new three-lawyer international trade team has confirmed that the principal reason for its departure from Washington DC tax firm Miller & Chevalier was over a client conflict.
Partner Duane Layton, a former senior counsel at the US Department of Commerce, joined Mayer Brown’s global trade group alongside lawyers Sydney Mintzer and Jeffery Lowe at the start of September.
